Pests may be attracted to recycle bins. Place your recycle bin outside in a secure container. If you can’t do that, make sure you rinse everything you recycle. It is best to use sealed recycling containers whenever you get rid of your garbage so that you don’t attract pests.

One way to control an insect infestation is to plant bushes or flowers right next to your house. If you can, use tiles around your home’s perimeter to keep rodents and insects at bay. You’ll also appreciate the ability to leave your windows open without having to worry about insects flying in.
